Q // How do I login?
A // There are two different ways.
On the homepage click on the Login Tab on the very top right of the browser window. This will cause the tab to slide down and reveal the login area. This not only keeps the page cleaner, but it allows the important content to be prominent.
Click on any menu item and you will be automatically presented with the default login page.
Q // What does 'Log Out' do? Should I Log Out when I am finished?
A // When the Log Out button is clicked, it will deactivate your current weatherTAP session.
You should always press the log out button located at the TOP RIGHT of the page whenever you are finished viewing the weatherTAP site. If you do not log out and you close the browser, then your weatherTAP session will stay active for 30 more minutes. This means that if you go back to the weatherTAP website, you will be prompted to Login even though you may have auto login activated. You will also be given a 'Session Warning' since technically a session is still open.
If the above situation occurs, don't worry. Just click on the 'Yes' button on the session warning page to terminate the old session, and login with a new session.
We advise you to always log out when you are finished viewing the weatherTAP.com website.
Q // Why am I prompted to login when I have Auto-Login activated?
A // You will only be prompted to login when a weatherTAP session is already open.
This can happen when you close the browser window without clicking the 'Log Out' button to end your session.
If the above situation occurs, again, no big deal, just remember to log out the next time you have finished viewing the weatherTAP website.
We advise you to always log out when you are finished viewing the weatherTAP.com website.
Q // I have Auto-Login activated, but why is my internet browser not remembering my password?
A // Auto-Login has nothing to do with your browser remembering your password.
Auto-Login will attempt to log you into the weatherTAP website each time you visit. This is very different from the functionality that most browsers use to remember passwords.
Each browser functions differently when remembering your user name and password. We recommend Firefox as the most reliable browser to use with weatherTAP.com.
Q // How do I log out on weatherTAP Mobile?
A // Just click on the Log Out link at the bottom of any of the Mobile pages.
Users will encounter a 'Session Warning' on either the website or on their mobile device if they have not logged out from a previous session. Yes the mobile device does count as a valid session. If you do encounter the 'Session Warning', just click 'Yes' to continue viewing weatherTAP Mobile.
