Zooming and Panning with RadarLab GIS
RadarLabGIS offers incredible control over how the GIS and weather information is displayed. Zooming and panning the images are just two of the options.

The user may zoom into the image for more detail. To zoom the image, make sure that the mouse mode selection box is set to "Zoom/Pan" first. Then simply move the cursor to the image area, press the left mouse button, and drag the area to be zoomed. A rectangle will be drawn as the mouse is moved. This rectangle should outline the area to be zoomed. See figure below (click image for larger view in separate window):

When the mouse button is released, the image will be re-rendered and will be zoomed to approximately enclose the area that was outlined with the zoom rectangle. Figure below (click image for larger view):

Once an image is zoomed, it may be easily panned both horizontally and vertically. Simply move the mouse button to the image display area, press the right mouse button, and drag the mouse. When the mouse button is released, the image will be re-rendered at the new position.

Note that panning does not change the zoom factor, just the visible region. It is possible to pan off the edge of the available data. Clicking the "Unzoom" button will re-center the image.

After any pan or zoom operation, the user may revert the image back to its previous state by pressing the "Back" button.
