Customizing RadarLab GIS
RadarLab GIS adheres to the Windows 95 right-click property sheet interface. In simpler terms, many options can be selected by moving the mouse to a particular area and pressing the right mouse button to access either a menu or property sheet.

For example, custom locations may be added or existing locations edited by moving the mouse to the "Custom Locations" option in the Data Layers Selection Box and pressing the right mouse button. This will bring up a property sheet which will allow you to add or edit custom locations.

Custom Color Scales in RadarLab GIS
By default, RadarLab GIS uses the standard WeatherTAP color scales for all radar products. The application also provides the capability to create custom color scales.

To create a custom color scale, move the mouse pointer over the "Radar Imagery" item in the Data Layers box. Right click to get the "Setup Color Scales" option. Selecting this option will bring up a new dialog box that will allow the user to setup custom scales.

GIS Layer Properties
RadarLab GIS offers the user almost complete control over how a layer is rendered. The user can control characteristics such as colors, sizes, and symbols. The user can also add labels to the features contained within the shapefile and you can add filters to control which features are rendered. Zoom dependencies can also be added so that certain options only activate at prescribed zoom levels.

The RadarLab manual has complete and detailed instructions for these customizations.
